Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active L&D experience, AHA-certified credentials, and a minimum 50-mile radius from the facility.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Minimum of 1 year of L&D experience required; 2 years preferred
- Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- At least 2 years of travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
- Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates care with support staff through delegation
- Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time for a maximum of 26 total weeks
- This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
