Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a 13-week cardiac cath lab assignment requiring RCIS or RT credentials with BLS and ACLS.
Details
- Work in a cardiac cath lab with 2 procedure rooms: 1 dedicated cath lab and 1 EP lab
- Procedures performed Monday through Friday; EP days are Tuesday, Thursday, and a half day on Friday
- Procedures include left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP insertions, temporary pacemaker placement, pericardiocentesis, CRM device implants, EP studies, and ablations (SVT, AFlutter, AVNRT, PVC)
- Typical tech staffing is 4, increasing to 5 on EP days
- 4-person on-call rotation with weekday call on a varying schedule and weekend call every 4th or 5th weekend
- Shift hours are 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of cath lab experience required
- RCIS or RT credential required
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- License required if applicable
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring invasive diagnostic cardiac procedures
- Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule applies — the distance varies by state and may affect the pay rate structure
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Skills checklist required for consideration
- License verification (e.g., primary source/Nursys) required within 30 days prior to assignment start

In the mammogram department the managers are kind. The work load is low to steady. The staff is drama free. The schedule/location rarely changes. All and all great place to work.
Cons
Lunches are not always blocked off, only given 45 minutes. So might have to bring ur lunch. And eat at your work station.
