Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a hospital-based Operating Room position requiring at least 4 years of OR experience across multiple surgical specialties including Neurology, Transplant, and Orthopedics.
Details
- Works in a hospital Operating Room (OR) setting
- Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral/Maxillofacial, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00–23:00)
- Weekend requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
- On-call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
- Floating required within scope of practice, including to Outpatient as needed
Requirements
- Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 4 years of OR experience prior to travel
- Experience required in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
- No scheduling requests or alternate shift arrangements will be accommodated
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- No holiday RTO will be approved if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period; if three major holidays occur, one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Blackout dates with no RTO approved: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3
- Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Candidates undergo a clinical review process prior to manager consideration
