Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a weekend day shift contract at a Level I Trauma community hospital.

Details

• Inpatient and outpatient CT setting within a Level I Trauma community hospital
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work setting experience spans inpatient, outpatient, ER, and adult ICU environments
• Uses GE CT scanner and PACS system
• Charting via MediTech (experience required)
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• On-call required as needed for call-off coverage

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT certification with formal radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved school required
• IEMA certification required
• Experience with GE CT scanners required
• Proficiency with PACS, IV starts, phlebotomy, and contrast administration required
• MediTech EMR experience required
• Experience across inpatient, outpatient, ER, and trauma settings required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis while practicing radiation safety methods at all times
• Selects appropriate technical factors to minimize re-exposure in accordance with equipment operating guidelines
• Performs CT procedures requiring independent judgment, initiative, and working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Provides patient-centered care by communicating procedures clearly, reducing patient apprehension, and adhering to patient rights policies
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Black scrubs required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
