Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and a Louisiana state license, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting on general medicine floors within a regional referral center
- Patient population is primarily geriatric with high acuity diagnoses in an acute environment
- May float to other general medicine floors within the hospital
- Day shift schedule: 8:30–17:00 (occasionally 8:00–16:30)
- 5x8-hour shifts per week with 4 weekend shifts per month; specific weekend schedule discussed during interview
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current Louisiana state PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Acute care or general medicine hospital experience required
- Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- In the event of a declared emergency, staff may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team until the event passes
- Candidates should be comfortable with potential emergency team assignments before applying
