Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience, C-section circulation skills, and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting, with 26 rooms and an average daily census of approximately 19 patients
• Unit serves Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, GYN, and Postpartum/Nursery patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule: 3x12.5-hour shifts, 19:30–06:30
• Every other weekend required based on unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Antepartum, Postpartum, and PACU based on unit needs
• Charting system: Epic; Pyxis used for medication dispensing

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided; L&D staff wear blue scrubs
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
