Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Denver, CO, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience with a strong background in antepartum and high-risk cases.

Details

  • Located in the Labor & Delivery unit (Floor 3A) of an acute care hospital in Denver, CO
  • 26-bed unit with a staff of 52
  • Patient ratios are 1:4 for antepartum patients and 1:1 or 1:2 for laboring patients
  • Patients include laboring patients, antepartums, C-sections, cerclages, and EDOB patients
  • Alaris pumps used for IV therapy
  • EMR: Meditech with CPN charting system
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
  • Antepartum and high-risk L&D experience required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)
  • Fetal monitoring certification required: intermediate or advanced AWHONN, or NCCEFM
  • NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification (American Academy of Pediatrics) required
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no exceptions
  • One professional reference required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Mom/baby or couplet care experience is preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
  • Minimum staffing per shift includes at least 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, and an ORT
  • Ideal candidates are flexible and able to work autonomously
