Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.

Details

• Position is based in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 90-bed hospital serving an adult patient population
• Specialty focus is interventional cardiology, including diagnostic and interventional procedures such as cath, stress testing, TEE, and tilt
• Occasional IR procedures performed, including vascular embolization, port placements, vascular stenting, and nephrostomy tube placement
• Preferred skills include experience with manifold, IVUS, FFR, IVL, Impella, IABP, and pre/post unit care
• Common diagnosis and treatment includes coronary artery disease (CAD)
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Fluoroscopy equipment is GE; hemodynamics system is transitioning to a new platform
• Shift is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• On-call is required on weekends, with call requirements exceeding 12 days
• Float to IR on an occasional basis
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• AHA certifications required (BLS and ACLS at minimum)
• RRT or RCIS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab nursing
• Experience with both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures required
• IR procedure experience required
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Cath Lab staff covers cath, stress testing, TEE, and tilt procedures
• Biweekly orientation schedule is in place
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Every other weekend on-call coverage is expected
