Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of IR experience and current ARRT-R certification for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Procedures include tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, and Pleurx catheter placements
- Pain management procedures include epidural blocks and radiofrequency ablations
- Vascular procedures include angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, and IVC filter placements
- The unit also handles cases in CT and X-ray, though floating to those areas is not required
- 5x8-hour day shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; Wednesday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
- No on-call or weekend shifts required
- Every other holiday coverage is required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Current ARRT-R, ACLS, BLS, and fluoroscopy permit required
- MD state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with the Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on the lethal rhythms section
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrubbing for IR, vascular, and pain procedures is a core responsibility of this role
- Orientation is held every Monday
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are accepted
