Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an ICU/CCU position in the Denver, CO area, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and active ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• ICU/CCU unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building of an acute care hospital
• 16-bed unit with a staff of approximately 60, including charge RNs and PCTs
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients
• Day shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps
• EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred
• Common procedures include intubations and central line placement
• Medical ICU and neuro patient population experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (AHA or ARC accepted; none may expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• One professional reference required

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

• State Board of Nursing license verification and NURSYS verification required
