Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, working a 3x12 Friday–Sunday day shift schedule.
Details
- Works as a Mobile MRI Tech on Fridays until 5:00 PM, then transitions to the Main MRI department from 5:00 PM through the end of shift
- Works as a Main MRI Tech on Saturdays and Sundays
- 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
- Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
- Charting performed in Epic
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
- Current BLS (AHA only) required
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license required if applicable
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- All travelers are assigned to the facility's emergency response team; awareness of hurricane season (June–November, peak August–September) is advised
- Parking on nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 parking pass payment
