Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, working a 3x12 Friday–Sunday day shift schedule.

Details

Works as a Mobile MRI Tech on Fridays until 5:00 PM, then transitions to the Main MRI department from 5:00 PM through the end of shift
Works as a Main MRI Tech on Saturdays and Sundays
3x12 hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
Charting performed in Epic
No on-call requirement

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
Current BLS (AHA only) required
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license required if applicable
Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
All travelers are assigned to the facility's emergency response team; awareness of hurricane season (June–November, peak August–September) is advised
Parking on nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 parking pass payment
