Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position at a pediatric hospital in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• NICU position at a large pediatric hospital in Ohio
• Specialized experience with BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) patients, with an average length of stay of 2–3 years
• Heavy emphasis on trach care and active parent involvement
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Floating required to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, Med/Surg, and ED (ED float is extremely rare)
• Floating to other campuses also required, including Riverside and St. Ann's locations
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of combined Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Must be comfortable with frequent trach care and high levels of parent involvement
• 2 manager or supervisor references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)

Additional Information

• This is a two-part interview process: an initial screening with the Float Pool Leader within 24–48 hours, followed by a second review or interview with the NICU unit manager
• Candidates who have worked permanently for this facility must have a gap of at least 2 years before being eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted for this RN position
• Floating to different units and campuses is a strong expectation of this facility and travelers must be fully prepared to comply
• No call/no-show incidents are taken very seriously and may result in disciplinary action or termination
