Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Infusion Unit position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring chemo administration experience and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Details

  • Infusion unit at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,000+ beds
  • Oncology patient population with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7-8
  • Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Charting via Epic EMR
  • Parking available at a cost of $125/month

Requirements

  • Active CT or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Chemo administration experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Trauma center experience at a large facility required
  • Triage experience preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not eligible for this position

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
  • Candidates who were previously permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
  • Candidates must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary history
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved for the contract
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
