Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Infusion Unit position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring chemo administration experience and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
Details
- Infusion unit at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,000+ beds
- Oncology patient population with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7-8
- Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Parking available at a cost of $125/month
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemo administration experience required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Trauma center experience at a large facility required
- Triage experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
- Candidates who were previously permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
- Candidates must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary history
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved for the contract
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
