Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift contract role requiring ARRT registration and BLS certification from AHA.

Details

• Hospital-based CT imaging department
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 8-week contract
• Charting in Cerner
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT registration in CT preferred
• Active SC or compact state license required (license required if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health or CT program preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Must be able to frequently lift, move, push, or pull patients and equipment up to 50 lbs
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• 2 references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
• Assist radiologists during procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists as assigned
• Ensure correct patient orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system
• Instruct and prepare patients for imaging procedures, assist with informed consent, and communicate discharge instructions to family members
• Practice radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles and adhere to DHEC and TJC guidelines
• Travelers who have been on assignment for one full calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment at this facility
• Work environment includes frequent exposure to radiation, possible exposure to infectious materials, blood-borne pathogens, and caustic chemicals
