Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care Magnet-designated hospital in Orange, CA.

Details

  • Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 426 staffed beds
  • Nuclear Medicine department, including PET scan imaging
  • 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • No weekend or holiday shifts required
  • Optional call shifts available for interested candidates: M–F 4:30 AM–10:00 PM and Sat–Sun 6:00 AM–10:00 PM with a 60-minute response time
  • Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
  • Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
  • Free parking on-site

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
  • Current BLS required
  • NMTCB or ARRT certification required
  • Active CA state license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting are required for consideration
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • PET scan experience is preferred; on-site training is available for qualified candidates
  • Orientation shifts are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, likely for the first two weeks
  • Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
  • RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; minimal RTO is preferred
  • Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local pay rates
  • Candidates must not live within 50 miles of the facility if they were previously employed there as permanent staff
