Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (IMC) position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active DC RN license.
Details
- Position is based in an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting
- Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week travel contract
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications only
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a U.S. hospital required
- Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Active U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Responsible for performing initial and ongoing patient assessments, including full review of systems, and documenting findings in accordance with policy
- Delivers patient care in a competent, caring, and efficient manner with awareness of age-appropriate care across the lifespan
- Completes admission assessments within established timeframes per facility policy
- Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
