Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (IMC) position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• Position is based in an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting
• Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications only
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a U.S. hospital required
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Active U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Responsible for performing initial and ongoing patient assessments, including full review of systems, and documenting findings in accordance with policy
• Delivers patient care in a competent, caring, and efficient manner with awareness of age-appropriate care across the lifespan
• Completes admission assessments within established timeframes per facility policy
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
