Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a state-of-the-art academic medical facility in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PreOp & PACU experience with ICU-level patient care.
Details
- Work in a PACU department split across two floors of a 12-story, 264-bed academic hospital with advanced surgical and specialty care services
- L4 services include Otolaryngology, Oral Maxillofacial, and General Thoracic cases; L6 services include Neurosurgery, Orthospine, Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR), and MRI
- Facility features 20 surgical suites and three interventional radiology suites, with ICU-convertible private rooms
- Afternoon/evening shifts available in either 8-hour (12:00p–8:30p or 2:00p–10:30p rotating) or 10-hour (9:00a–7:30p or 11:00a–9:30p rotating) formats
- 40 hours per week
- No call, no float, and no weekend requirements
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- CAPA or CPAN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of PreOp and PACU experience, specifically caring for ICU-level patients
- 2 supervisory references required for consideration (charge nurse references are not accepted)
Additional Information
- Flu vaccination is required from 10/31 through the end of Winter; no exemptions (religious or medical) are accepted — candidates with a flu vaccine allergy must receive the allergy-free formulation
- Candidates who have been employed at this facility within the past 12 months are not eligible to apply
