Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel CT/X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, requiring 3 years of CT and Radiologic Technologist experience with ARRT certification and VA licensure.
Details
- Work setting is a CT Scan department within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Patient population includes critical access patients of all ages, from neonates through geriatric
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend coverage is required every weekend
- No on-call requirements
- EMR is Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist and Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- VA license required if applicable
- Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- Proficiency with CT and general diagnostic X-ray equipment, including portable procedures
- Knowledge of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Ability to perform general diagnostic and portable radiography for patients of all ages
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN required
Additional Information
- Performs CT and general radiology (X-ray) procedures, including portable exams, for patients of all ages using optimal techniques and parameters to produce quality diagnostic images
- Administers IV contrast injections as ordered and makes appropriate modifications for positioning, slice thickness, and contrast protocols
- Performs exam segmentation for PACS archiving and accurately enters data into HIS and RIS systems
- Reports critical findings to appropriate personnel and assists physicians with invasive procedures as needed
- Adheres to radiation safety standards and infection control policies in accordance with DNV standards and National Patient Safety Goals
- Caribbean blue scrubs (4 sets) required per Valley Health dress code policy
