Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Inpatient Overflow unit in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and a valid IL RN license.
Details
- Inpatient overflow Med/Surg unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
- Day shift schedule working 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No floating requirements
- Uses Epic EMR
- Candidates must undergo a leader interview as part of the selection process
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include conducting bedside shift reports, patient assessments, care plan development and modification, medication administration, and patient education
- Delegates and validates care tasks to assigned healthcare technicians throughout the shift
- Focuses on patient safety priorities including fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation compliance, and safe ambulation
- Manages time-sensitive admission and discharge processes, particularly for Observation status patients
- RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Travelers who have been on assignment at any Carle Health location for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning to any Carle Health facility
