Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams.
Details
- Day shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30)
- Located in an acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Labor & Delivery unit
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate; AWHONN Advanced preferred
- Must be able to circulate in the OR
- Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience in a large hospital setting highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Travel pairs will not be considered
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Scrubs are provided for L&D nurses
- Parking is free at this facility
- Former permanent staff of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Minimal to no RTO is preferred; significant RTO requests may impact candidacy
- All RTO must be disclosed at the time of submission
