Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center in Georgia, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Position is on the 9A Medical unit of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes general medical/surgical and overflow oncology cases
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Epic EMR experience is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not approved on most units
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active RN license in GA or a compact state license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with diverse and severe cases required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced trauma situations
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Current certifications required (e.g., BLS — bring certification cards)
• Nursys license verification required for consideration

• Care for general medical/surgical patients with overflow oncology cases in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma environment
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this contract
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
