Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with inpatient adult and pediatric experience, including ICU, NICU, and PICU, for a 16-week night shift contract at an academic teaching hospital in Burlington, VT.
Details
- Inpatient respiratory care setting at a large academic teaching hospital
- Patient population spans adult and pediatric patients across general units, Adult ICU, NICU, and PICU
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Monday through Sunday scheduling with no block schedules
- Weekends required as needed
- No floating required
- No on-call required
- Uses Epic EMR
- 16-week contract
Requirements
- RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient respiratory therapy experience covering adult and pediatric populations, including ICU, NICU, and PICU
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
- Current certifications required: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor — one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
- All specialties worked must be thoroughly documented under each individual employment history entry, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
- Any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Candidates must have reliable personal transportation, as public transit is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Candidates licensed in New York may be submitted with proof of a pending NY license
- Locals are welcome to apply
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility or between 51–100 miles may be eligible at a radius rate — distance is measured in a straight line, not by driving distance
