Description
American Traveler is hiring an EP Technologist with at least 2 years of EP Lab experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization / EP Lab setting at a 874-bed Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations
- 4 EP labs available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 3 EP labs on Wednesday
- Adult-only patient population
- EP cases include Electrophysiology Studies (EPS), Catheter Ablations (PFA, Radiofrequency, and Cryoablations), and Concomitant Watchman procedures for atrial fibrillation
- Implantable device cases include pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, biventricular device implantations (BIV-Pacemakers and BIV-Defibrillators), leadless devices (Micra and Aveir), device and laser lead extractions, cardioversions, and loop implants
- EMR is Epic; experience is required
- Hemodynamic monitoring system: Cardio Lab; IV pumps: Alaris; medication dispensing: Omnicell; monitors, PACS, and X-ray equipment: Philips and GE
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call rotation includes two weekdays and two weekends per month; specific details discussed during interview
- No floating required
- Schedule cycles every 6 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of EP Lab experience required
- Active license required if applicable
- BLS and ACLS required
- For Cardiac Cath Techs: ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS required; RCES preferred
- EP/structural scrub experience required; case monitoring experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
- Orientation includes 2 days of departmental onboarding, ACE modules, and Epic training; expectation of self-sufficient functioning within 1 week
- Department is supported by a traffic flow coordinator, charge nurses, VAD Team, RT for emergencies, ECMO Team, and Code Team
- Travelers are expected to cover at least one holiday during the contract if applicable
- RTO requires manager approval
- Scrubs are provided
- Parking is free
