Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 1 year of med/surg or telemetry experience on a weekend night block schedule.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a 97-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Weekend night block schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12-hour night shifts (1845–0715)
- Patient ratios of 1:4–5
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Floating may be required between two campuses (Belleville and Shiloh) as well as within the facility
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; pending IL license is not accepted for this position
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of med/surg, cardiac, or telemetry nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Navy scrubs required
- Free parking on-site
- Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
