Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Trauma Level I experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.
Details
- General OR setting within a Trauma Level I hospital
- Day shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM (5x8 hours)
- Call required
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Uses Epic for charting
- Supports Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical cases
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1.5 years of OR nursing experience required
- Minimum 2 years of charge experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Trauma Level I hospital experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience required in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical specialties
- Experience in Davinci Robotics, endovascular, and eye procedures preferred
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub RN duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, neurology, general surgery, orthopedic, ophthalmology, robotics, and urology procedures
- Procedures include AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, joint replacement, cataract extraction, and robotic-assisted surgeries
- Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris counties are not eligible for this position
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- All RTO must be submitted and listed at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
- Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
