Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma acute care hospital in Chandler, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography) department
• Level I Trauma Center
• 2 techs per scanner in the CT department
• Common study types include stroke, trauma, ER, and inpatient imaging
• Approximately 300 scans performed per day
• Uses Siemens CT equipment; Siemens experience preferred
• Cerner EMR in use
• 12-hour shifts; two available schedules: Thursday–Sunday 7:00 PM–7:00 AM or Monday–Wednesday 12:00 PM–12:30 AM
• Holiday coverage required
• On-call requirement: every 4th Friday and every 5th Saturday, with a 1-hour response time

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with recent experience within the past 6 months required
• Active ARRT and CT specialty certification (MRTBE CT) required; pending certifications not accepted
• Active BLS certification required
• Radiation badge required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Siemens CT equipment experience preferred
• License required if applicable — active state or compact (NLC) licensure required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (AZ radius rule); a valid driver's license is used to confirm permanent address
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging studies including stroke, trauma, ER, and inpatient protocols
• Radiologist is on-site during day shifts; teleradiology is used after hours
• CT orientation is conducted in person using a department-specific orientation packet
• Teal scrubs required
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
