Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Intermediate Care (IMC) position at a large academic medical center in Baltimore, MD, requiring at least 2 prior travel assignments and strong high-acuity IMC experience.
Details
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Large academic teaching hospital environment caring for adult medical cardiac patients
- Unit provides multiple levels of care including acute inpatient, telemetry, and intermediate care (IMC)
- Continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring in use
- IMC patient ratio is 1:3 around the clock; telemetry ratios are 1:4 (AM) and 1:5 (PM)
- Procedures and equipment include ventilators, tracheostomies, arterial lines (A-lines), and titrating drips (Nitroglycerin, Insulin, and Heparin)
- Experience with and understanding of provider-managed pressors and inotropes required
- Epic EMR used (preferred, not required)
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- IMC-level nursing experience required
- Dysrhythmia management experience required
- At least 2 prior travel nursing assignments required
- Experience at a large hospital (500+ bed facility) required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Critical care certification preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientations are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
- 13-week contract
