Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU/Intermediate Care position at a major academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of current SICU experience and at least 2 prior travel assignments.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Surgical ICU (SICU) unit within a large academic hospital's Department of Surgery
• Patient population includes trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho/neuro spine, oncology, and general surgery post-surgical patients
• Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed
• 3 out of every 6 weekends required per 6-week schedule
• 2 on-call availability shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Epic EMR (preferred, not required)
• Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month

Requirements

• Active RN license — Maryland license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Critical Care Certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience required
• At least 2 previous travel assignments required
• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active licensure and 1 professional reference required for consideration
