Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a weekend night shift contract at a Level 3 Trauma facility in Beckley, WV.

Details

• CT Scan department in a 300-bed acute care hospital with Level 3 Trauma Designation, Chest Pain Accreditation, and Stroke Accreditation
• Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Common diagnoses include CVA, PE, fractures, appendicitis, pneumonia, and COPD
• Procedures include CT Brain, Spine, Chest, Abdomen/Pelvis, Extremities, Trauma, CTA Brain, CTA Neck, CTA Abdomen/Pelvis, and CTA Chest
• Equipment includes GE Revolution EVO
• EMR: Meditech
• Weekend night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule
• No call requirements
• No float requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience
• ARRT (R) required; ARRT (CT) preferred
• AHA certifications required
• Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology
• Proficiency in CT scanning for all routine procedures including trauma cases
• Venipuncture skills required
• Ability to perform multiple exams on the same patient in a timely manner
• Trauma experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform routine and advanced CT examinations across a wide range of body systems and patient populations
• Must be friendly, customer service oriented, and focused on patient satisfaction
• Must maintain excellent hygiene; clean black scrubs required
• Orientation is held biweekly on Wednesdays
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full time elsewhere are not eligible
