Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel IR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Manchester, NH, requiring a minimum of 1 year of IR experience and an active NH Medical Technologist License.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures unit in a main hospital building
  • Unit consists of 2 vascular/interventional (VI) rooms and one hybrid OR
  • Staffed with 3-4 technologists per day
  • Equipment includes Acuson Juniper and Acuson P500 ultrasound systems
  • Documentation system: Allscripts
  • Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with rotating call responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of IR experience, with active hands-on experience within the last 6 months
  • ARRT(R) certification required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
  • Active NH Medical Technologist License required — license required if applicable
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable

Unit was traveler friendly, staff was very nice and welcoming, felt supported, nice area of the country for exploring

Cons

Nurses do all their own vitals (not sure how that’s even possible on dayshift), limited resources, morale was low due to recent buyout by HCA
