Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a night shift position in a hospital radiology department, requiring 1+ year of ED, trauma, and CTA experience with ARRT(CT) certification.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology department setting
• Works primarily in an Emergency Department environment handling trauma, stroke, CTAs, and perfusion cases
• 4x10 hour night shifts; schedule to be finalized at interview
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Uses GE Revolution (256-slice) and Siemens CT scanners
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent CT experience in an ED, trauma, stroke, CTA, and perfusion setting
• ARRT and ARRT(CT) registry required
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology required
• Missouri Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable
• BLS required
• Proficiency with GE Revolution (256-slice) and Siemens CT scanners
• Ability to manipulate patient transfer equipment, lift and transport patients, and perform continual standing and walking
• Must be able to recognize emergency situations and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Performs CT procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, requiring independent judgment to obtain optimal image quality
• Responsible for anatomical positioning, selection and modification of technical factors, and ensuring patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort
• CTA and perfusion knowledge preferred
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required
