Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract at a hospital-based CT Scan department, performing advanced imaging including Cardiac CT, stroke perfusion, and CT-guided invasive procedures.
Details
- Hospital setting with 373 licensed beds (344 acute, 29 inpatient rehab), TJC Stroke accredited, no trauma designation
- CT Scan department offers CT, X-ray, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine with Radiology Nursing support
- Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient cases
- Department performs CT-guided invasive procedures, cases with anesthesia, and Cardiac CT imaging on day shift 7 days/week
- Average of 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
- Equipment includes 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS40, Force, Edge+) and Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
- EMR: Epic with Epic Radiant RIS; PACS: Philips iSite
- 10-hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 10:30 AM–9:00 PM, 40 hours per week
- No floating required
- On-call requirements apply
- No weekend rotation
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CT
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- Current BLS certification
- Active license required if applicable
- Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion, venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- TeraRecon experience is preferred but not required
- Guest Services and Transport support available for inpatient and observation patients
- Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
- Required scrub color: black
- Free parking available in surface lots and parking decks
- Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being considered
