Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on night shift at a Level 2 Trauma Center in St. Louis, MO, requiring at least 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• 7 East Medical Telemetry unit in a 60-bed inpatient hospital setting
• Medical patient population with telemetry monitoring needs
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Equipment used includes bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs
• EMR: Epic
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state license eligible for Missouri endorsement
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Med/Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty, with significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients; push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.; pinch up to 15 lbs.

Additional Information

• Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center
• Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift; candidate must be available the entire orientation week
• Black scrubs required
• Flu vaccination (or Mercy-approved exemption) is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• RTO of up to 5 days may be allowed but must be made up during the assignment; only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a reduced bill rate and are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a minimum 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required
• All certifications must be active and not expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
