Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a community hospital, requiring active MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience.

Details

• 13-week contract at a 240-bed community hospital with a 16-bed ICU
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
• Patient population includes post-cath patients requiring telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip titration
• On-unit telemetry monitoring performed by bedside nurses
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• No on-call requirements
• Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license — both Kansas and Missouri licenses (or compact equivalent) must be in hand prior to consideration, as floating between facilities may require dual licensure
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required, including at least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and titrating cardiac drips required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least one must be supervisor-level or above; the second may be a charge RN — all references must be from individuals who have worked with the candidate within the past year

• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the contract
• Block scheduling is not available
• Holiday coverage and Charge RN assignments may be required as needed
• Navy scrubs are required
• Travel partners are not accepted for this position
• Pre-compliance modules totaling approximately 10–15 hours must be completed prior to the start date
• No pending licenses accepted — all required licenses must be active and in hand at time of consideration
