Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Rochester, NY, requiring ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications with strong multi-system emergency skills.

Details

• Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required when census warrants
• Charting performed in Epic (preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement is mandatory for all RNs at this facility
• Required clinical skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, emergency medications, CVA management, and isolation precautions
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
