Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Step Down/Intermediate Care position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care experience and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Step Down/Intermediate Care unit in a hospital setting
- Patient placement is determined by greatest unit need — traveler may be assigned to a PCU or Med/Surg Telemetry unit based on skill set
- Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- Floating required within skill set, both within the facility and to sites within a 40-mile radius
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or a current Compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, both from AHA
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or Acute Care experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates with either a Med/Surg or Step Down background will be considered, as credentialing requirements are the same for both
- Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
