Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Radiology position at a Level II Trauma Center, with ARRT-CT certification and strong trauma and stroke perfusion experience preferred.
Details
- 492-bed acute care hospital serving as a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center
- Radiology department with potential to float to different areas within the department and throughout the hospital
- Inpatient and outpatient patient population, primarily adults with occasional pediatric patients (outpatients/ED)
- 1:1 patient ratio with an average of 4 patients per hour (approximately 40 patients per day)
- Required procedures include angiograms and trauma imaging; biopsy drainage and stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- All GE CT equipment; EMR is Cerner
- 10-hour day shifts starting at 6:00 AM, 40 hours per week
- Shift times may vary between 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation varies, typically once a month but subject to departmental needs
- On-call is voluntary
- Holiday coverage expected for one major and one minor seasonal holiday per facility policy
Requirements
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- ARRT-CT specialty certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required; candidates with 1 year will be considered if they have strong relevant skills
- First-time travelers will be considered with at least 2 years of CT experience
- Experience with trauma imaging and angiograms required; stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred; biopsy drainage experience preferred
- Must be able to work with adult and occasional pediatric patient populations
- Reference from a charge-level supervisor or above within the past 12 months required for consideration
- DOB (day and month) and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation consists of one 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2–3 shifts on the unit with a day-shift technologist
- Interviews are conducted via SimpliFi
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Free parking is available on-site
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
