Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Dallas, TX.
Details
- Cardiopulmonary specialty unit in a hospital setting in Dallas, TX
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Variable days worked each week
Requirements
- RRT credential required
- Active TX Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Associate's degree in a related field required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions granted
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer respiratory care services including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medications, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry per physician orders
- Review physician orders, analyze diagnostic test results, and implement approved protocols as appropriate to each patient's clinical condition
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in emergency situations
- Instruct patients on the use of respiratory care equipment and assess their response to therapy
- Accurately document all treatments, therapies, and supplies used, and report outcomes of therapeutic interventions
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
