Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Irving, TX.

Details

• Hospital-based imaging/CT department serving ambulatory and inpatient populations
• Patient population spans all age groups including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric
• Procedures include CT imaging with contrast, iSTAT point-of-care creatinine testing, and invasive CT procedures using sterile technique
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts: Monday and Tuesday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM–9:00 PM
• On-call may be required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Active ARRT (CT) certification required
• Active TX MRT license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Ability to work with all age groups including newborn through geriatric populations
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu shot required; no exemptions granted

Additional Information

• Performs high-quality CT procedures according to established exam protocols, including proper patient positioning, immobilization, and equipment setup
• Demonstrates understanding of radiation dose reference levels, monitoring, and required follow-up actions when dose reference levels are exceeded
• Communicates with patients and families using the AIDET framework to ensure correct exams are performed and patients are at ease
• Maintains imaging records in appropriate systems per department standards and ensures timely documentation
• Serves as a resource for new team members by providing training and guidance on procedures and initiatives
• Black scrubs required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
