Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and cross-unit coverage across L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with rotation across Postpartum and Nursery
• Level 1 acute care setting
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM on a rotating 36/48 schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Meditech EMR in use

Requirements

• Active RN license — KY state or compact license currently in hand required; no exceptions
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience in a level 1 acute care setting
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery required
• Driver's license with address matching permanent residence required for consideration
• Two professional references required: at least one charge nurse or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Middle name required (confirmation needed if none exists)

Additional Information

• Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Must be willing and able to work the rotating 84-hour/two-week schedule; inability to accept this schedule may result in cancellation
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; all RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted after acceptance
• Must work at least one major or one minor holiday during the assignment
• Travelers who have worked within the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly basis
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Any license hits or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
