Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT/PET Tech) for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care Magnet hospital, with at least 6 months of PET experience required.
Details
- Primary work setting is a PET unit within a 426-bed acute care Magnet hospital, with potential float to Nuclear Medicine as needed
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- Schedule is 4x10 or 5x8 hour day shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Post-shift and rotating weekend call is required; call expectations may vary based on experience level and can be discussed during the interview
- Weekend shifts may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Charting is performed in Epic; experience is required
- Experience with Siemens equipment is highly preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required, with at least 6 months of PET experience (hard requirement)
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required; CA state license required if applicable
- Current BLS required
- PET certification is not required, but PET experience is mandatory
- First-time travelers are accepted with 2+ years of experience; candidates with less experience will be screened on a case-by-case basis
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate; please contact your recruiter for details
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Free parking is available on-site
- This is a Magnet-designated facility
