Description
American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and RDMS-OB certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Greensboro, NC.
Details
- Outpatient maternal fetal medicine (MFM) ultrasound unit at an AIUM-accredited, academic teaching hospital
- High-risk OB patient population including anatomy scans, Dopplers, transvaginal ultrasounds, OB/GYN, and M-mode imaging
- Procedures include perinatal ultrasound, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
- Equipment includes Samsung Hera W10 and Samsung RS85 Prestige
- EMR: Epic required; AS OB Reporting required
- 4x9-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM – 4:45 PM
- Occasional float to a second women's hospital location on Mondays and Wednesdays only (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Rare potential to float to a women's and children's unit that operates 24/7, with possible Saturday/Sunday shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sonography experience in maternal fetal medicine or high-risk OB ultrasound
- RDMS-OB certification with MFM experience required
- BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- AS OB Reporting experience required
- Outpatient experience required
- Experience with PACS, anatomy scans, Dopplers, transvaginal ultrasounds, M-mode, amniocentesis, and CVS
- Academic or teaching hospital experience preferred
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Perform perinatal ultrasound examinations for high-risk OB patients in an AIUM-accredited facility
- A Pass/Fail EKG exam is required during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Strict punctuality and attendance standards are enforced; the facility maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- 13-week contract assignment
