Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Boston, MA, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and strong independent telemetry interpretation skills.

Details

• Acute Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• 36-bed unit with a general patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
• Mid-level 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Acute Medical Surgical required
• Strong telemetry skills with the ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Must pass a telemetry competency test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or better
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), one must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years
• A valid, non-expired driver's license required
• Travel experience highly preferred

• Candidates must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) prior to placement; the test may only be taken twice
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
