Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with recent critical care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Florence, SC.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required, including labor and delivery
- No floating to sister facilities
- 396-bed acute care hospital
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required, with recent critical care experience
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Active SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required; license must be in hand at time of start
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and CRT — all must be in hand at time of start
- License required if applicable
- Social Security card and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required
