Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment in Springfield, MO, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting and ARRT registration in both Radiography and CT.
Details
- Radiology department within a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
- Patient population includes ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases
- 1:1 patient ratio
- GE Revolution Ascend CT scanner
- Epic EMR
- 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekend hours as required by the facility
- No on-call requirements
- Float within the same department only in the event of a call-in
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience in a hospital setting
- X-ray experience required
- ARRT registration in both Radiography and CT
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program
- A valid U.S. Social Security Number is required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
- No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic CT scans for interpretation by radiologists and ordering physicians, covering ER and inpatient CT duties as needed during shift
- Responsibilities include CTA/stroke studies with 3D reconstruction, contrast injections via venipuncture, pressure injector operation, and image transmission and teleradiology troubleshooting
- Verify image transfer via UltraVisual on all exams
- Apply radiation safety principles and maintain proper documentation and charge entry in the EHR
- Assist with patient transport, room preparation, and supply management
- Black scrubs required
- Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for travel between November 1 and April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced bill rate
- Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a separation period or facility change is required
