Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit position requiring a valid NC or compact RN license and a minimum of two years of experience.

Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 36 hours per week
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required prior to start of clinical care
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Acute care / inpatient hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for individual patients and families, including those with complex care issues or high-risk discharge planning needs
• Communicates with patients and families using cultural competency and active listening to develop and update the plan of care
• ACLS certification may be required for some units prior to performing clinical care; training and certification opportunities will be provided
