Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification to perform CT imaging procedures in a hospital setting on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• CT unit setting
• Procedures include CT screening, contrast-enhanced imaging, and IV contrast administration
• Point-of-care testing performed for kidney function evaluation via GFR analysis

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Science program
• ARRT registration as a CT Technologist required
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, pathology, and CT imaging protocols
• Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform CT screenings with responsibility for both equipment safety and image quality optimization
• Select appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters based on patient needs and order complexity
• Establish IV access, administer contrast agents, and gather patient consent for contrast injection
• Interview patients to identify risk factors and relevant medical history prior to imaging
• Guide patients through examinations with cultural competency and clear communication to ensure effective imaging
• Experience with point-of-care testing platforms such as Abbott i-STAT is preferred
• PACS experience is preferred
