Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience performing CT imaging procedures, including contrast administration and IV access, for a 13-week evening shift contract.

Details

• Evening split shift from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Science program
• ARRT registration as a CT Technologist (required)
• Radiologic Technology Certification required
• License required if applicable
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, pathology, and CT imaging protocols
• Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders
• Ability to establish IV access and administer contrast agents

Additional Information

• Performs CT screening procedures, ensuring safe equipment function and optimal image quality
• Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters based on anatomy, pathology, and equipment capabilities
• Gathers patient consent for contrast injection and draws blood for kidney function evaluation (GFR) using point-of-care testing hardware under laboratory supervision
• Interviews patients to assess risk factors and relevant medical history prior to imaging
• Guides patients through their examination, applying cultural competency and subject matter expertise to manage distressed patients
• Communicates with radiologists when imaging orders are unclear, complex, or require further review
• Experience with point-of-care testing platforms such as Abbott i-Stat is preferred
• PACS experience is preferred
