Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position in a Cardiac Specialty Unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an AHA BLS certification.

Details

• Cardiac Specialty Unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend, or 2 weekends per month required
• Patient ratio of 1:7–8; a team nursing model may be used when ratios exceed 8
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license — Tennessee (TN) or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience required
• Must be able to pass an EKG test prior to the start of the assignment

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible but will receive a reduced pay rate
• RTO requests during holidays or holiday weeks cannot be accommodated; affected holidays include Valentine's Day, Local Spring Break, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Local Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day — travelers may discuss any holiday RTO with the manager after arriving onsite
