Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week assignment at a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
Details
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 50 beds dedicated to severe injury and illness recovery
- Occupational Therapy department serving an adult patient population
- Patient ratios of 1:5-7 depending on acuity
- Day shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- No call or float requirements
- Common diagnoses include neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, TBI, SCI, stroke, brain injury, amputation, and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Specialized equipment available on-site includes Smart Car, In-Motion Arm Bionik, Saebo, TBI gym, dedicated transfer rooms, outdoor functional courtyard, EKSO, and Senaptec
- Cerner EHR system in use
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
- Experience in acute, subacute, SNF, or inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred
- AHA certifications required
- Active OT license required if applicable
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide individualized, patient-first rehabilitation services tailored to each patient's recovery needs
- Experience with group and concurrent therapy modes is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are important for this role
- Olive green scrubs required
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
