Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week assignment at a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

Details

  • Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 50 beds dedicated to severe injury and illness recovery
  • Occupational Therapy department serving an adult patient population
  • Patient ratios of 1:5-7 depending on acuity
  • Day shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • No call or float requirements
  • Common diagnoses include neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, TBI, SCI, stroke, brain injury, amputation, and cardiopulmonary conditions
  • Specialized equipment available on-site includes Smart Car, In-Motion Arm Bionik, Saebo, TBI gym, dedicated transfer rooms, outdoor functional courtyard, EKSO, and Senaptec
  • Cerner EHR system in use
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
  • Experience in acute, subacute, SNF, or inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred
  • AHA certifications required
  • Active OT license required if applicable
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide individualized, patient-first rehabilitation services tailored to each patient's recovery needs
  • Experience with group and concurrent therapy modes is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are important for this role
  • Olive green scrubs required
  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
